The fourth-seeded Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues saddled up. In a tight 64-60 semi-final win in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Men’s Basketball Region XIX DII tournament, they tamed the first-seeded Montgomery County Community College Mustangs.

Freshman center reserve, Tim Gjonballa, hit for 14 significant points as the lead scorer for the Blues, and heavily guarded freshman guard, Kevin Mateo, contributed 12 points and five assists. Other significant benefactors in the win were freshman guard Dan Golaszewski, with his 10 points, and sophomore forward, Allen Ozojie, gripped 12 rebounds.

Brookdale will be on the road again for the Region XIX Championship game and will face the Community College of Philadelphia Lions (#3 seed) on Saturday, February 26th, at 2:00 p.m.
