Madeline Ferraro was recognized at the September Brookdale Community College Board of Trustees meeting for serving with distinction from October 2016 through August 2021 and serving from February 1996 through November 2004. As appointed by the Governor, Ferraro served with honor as a respected attorney, civic leader and loyal ambassador for the College.
During her time on the Board, she advanced the work of the Executive, Finance and Facilities, Policy and Education, Bylaws, Nominating, and Governance committees. She will be remembered by her astute observations and always putting the welfare of Brookdale students in the forefront of any debate or discussion. In addition, she also served on the Presidential search which resulted in the appointment of Dr. David Stout as the seventh president of Brookdale Community College.
During the pandemic crisis she provided a steady hand and compassionate heart to the College community. Ferraro has always been committed to the betterment and progress of Brookdale Community College and its pursuit of excellence. Her personal commitment to the college, staff and students will be long remembered.
“My times as a Brookdale trustee has been incredibly rewarding,” said Ferraro. “Brookdale is a fantastic institution, providing access to a superior educational experience to students of Monmouth County and beyond. I hope my time on the Board in a small part contributed to the schools excellence.”
Brookdale’s President Dr. David Stout and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Henry Cram presented Ferraro with a resolution with a copy sent to the Governor.
