Lunch Break is excited to announce its annual fall gala, “Heroes for Hope: A Gala for Good,” on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM at TillingHouse at Suneagles in Eatontown, NJ.

This year’s event will feature a captivating superhero theme, celebrating the extraordinary community heroes who have made significant contributions to improving the lives of others.

Gwendolyn Love, Executive Director of Lunch Break, expressed her excitement for the upcoming gala, sharing, “We are thrilled to host this year’s ‘Heroes for Hope’ gala. The fun and creative superhero theme not only promises an unforgettable evening but highlights the unwavering dedication of our superhero partners. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate those who tirelessly work to make a difference in our community.”

The gala will honor three distinguished organizations with prestigious awards while introducing a new annual Staff Health and Wellness Recognition Award to a current staff member in honor of long-time Lunch Break supporter Caroline Huber.

Made possible by the Stone Foundation, the award acknowledges the uniquely challenging role nonprofit employees play in serviceing others and provides the recipient with an opportunity to focus on an aspect of their own physical and mental well-being.

● Fulfill will receive the Norma Todd Award, which recognizes its exceptional efforts in fighting hunger and supporting families in need.
● Monmouth County SPCA (MCSPCA) will be given the Heart to Hand Award to acknowledge their dedication to animal welfare and rescue operations.
Brookdale Community College (BCC) will receive the Platinum Partner Award, honoring its outstanding partnership and commitment to community service and education.

Jill Gwydir, Director of Development at Lunch Break, expressed her thoughts on this year’s honorees, “Lunch Break is so grateful for the collaborative partnerships with all of our honorees. They have lifted the Lunch Break community in need, ensuring that life’s basic necessities such as clothing and food-security are accessible for all those we serve, including their furry family members!”

Guests can look forward to an evening filled with inspiration, celebration, and entertainment. The event will include a cocktail reception, buffet dinner, live music by Quincy Mumford and Michael Ghegan, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction featuring many unique items and experiences, and Sticky GolfPro (a virtual chipping game)! Gala tickets are $400/person, and seating is limited.

Sponsorship opportunities are currently available, offering businesses and individuals the chance to support this vital cause and gain visibility within the community.
