Jersey Blues freshman guard, Kevin Mateo, was named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after his huge contributions to two conference wins against Rowan College South Jersey-Cumberland, and Camden County College.

Mateo scored double figures in both games, 14 points and seven assists against Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ)-Cumberland, and a game-changing, season-high, 34 points against Camden Community College. Mateo scored a crucial nine points in the last two minutes of the game, and went 13 for 13 at the foul line for the 78-71 win to continue the Jersey Blues 14-0 winning streak.
