Study Abroad – Paris: Interior Design and Architecture
“A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of life” (Thomas Jefferson).
“The whole of Paris is a vast university of Art, Literature, and Music. It is a post-graduate course in Everything.” (James Thurber).
“Paris is not a city; it is a world” (Françoise I).
Paris. The ultimate classroom for the study of architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts is the focus of this study abroad program.
The two-week itinerary — tailored, for interior design and architecture students – offers an immersion into the heart of design history and innovation. From Antiquity to Art Deco; from Classical to Contemporary; Renaissance to Rococo; Medieval to Modernism and more, our exploration will take us to some of the most significant museums and sites in architecture and design history.
Highlights include the legendary palaces of Fontainebleau and Versailles, Le Corbusier’s iconic, Modernist gem, the Villa Savoy, and the world-renowned museum of design and the decorative arts, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
Join us for an unforgettable educational experience, where every street corner, museum visit, and architectural landmark unfolds a new chapter in the narrative of design. Expand your horizons, experience local culture, deepen your understanding, and embark on a journey that will shape your perspective and your work as a designer or architect in a wealth of ways that will last a lifetime.
