Global Citizenship Project Theme and Launch

The Global Citizenship Project launched its One World: Environmental Issues theme at the kickoff event on September 26.

The event introduced the theme of environmental issues to students and demonstrated how make a difference in the world by helping the environment. Students participated in an eco-challenge, learned about sustainable fashion, and met “Captain Cardboard.” There were representatives from the International Center, The Innovation Network (TIN), Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, The Biology department, The Biology Club and the summer 2020 Environmental Studies faculty-led program in Costa Rica.

• EOF Volunteer and CommUNITY Organization Fair on October 24 from 11:30 m to 1:15 p.m. in the Student Life Center
• Science Monday: Tim Dillingham, executive director of the American Littoral Society, on October 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center, Twin Lights Room
• Visiting Writers Series: Poet Seema Reza on November 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Student Life Center, Navesink room
• Clinton Croker Memorial Lecture: Kevon Rhiney discussing the impact of climate change on the Carribbean on November 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center
• Global Perspectives on Environmental Issues: Panel Discussion on November 21 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 pm in the Student Life Center, Navesink Room
• Science Monday: Robert Grant describing the impact of the declining honeybee populations on November 25 at 6:30 pm in the Student Life Center, Twin Lights Room
