Student: $3.00 / hour

Staff and Faculty: $4.00 / hour

Community Members: $5.00 / hour

Student Monthly Pass: (25 hours; 1 VR session) $60.00 ($22 savings)

Student Semester Pass:(100 hours; 4 VR sessions) $225 ($103 savings)

VR

$7.00 / half hour

Consoles (Xbox Series X, PS5, Switch): Available on first come, first serve basis

Students: FREE (Must show student id)

Community Members: $5.00/hour

Arcade Machines

Available for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
Controllers for consoles and arcade machines can be checked out for use at front desk.

Rules

All Patrons must sign waiver to use equipment. You may do so when you arrive or at the following link in advance:  Waiver Form

No Bullying – Zero tolerance policy for harassment based upon any aspect of a person’s identity. This also includes no threats of violence or acts of intimidation that will encourage a hostile environment or situation.

No Cheating – No cheating, match fixing, or other means of gaining an unfair advantage. Any act that compromises the competitive integrity of a game or competition is not permitted.

Stay Clean – No open containers of food or drink are permitted in the Esports Arena. A sealable drink is permitted while you are not seated at a gaming PC.

Self-Care – Be mindful of your fellow gamers. We encourage you to practice good hygiene. Keep noise levels at a non-disruptive level and no excessive use of profanity.

Data Security – Always log out of your accounts. Do not share any login information with other users, even staff. Brookdale Esports is not responsible for compromised accounts. Do not download, share, or view any illegal or explicit content on the Arena’s equipment.

Personal Devices – Always ask for assistance before you connect any of your own devices or peripherals to Brookdale Esports Equipment. This also includes downloading games from your personal library onto our PCs and consoles.

Varsity Team Tryouts

Varsity Teams

Tryouts will be held in-person only at the Esports Arena located on the first floor of the Warner Student Life Building (SLC) at the following dates and times:

League of Legends – Wednesday, January 22 @ 5:00 p.m.

Valorant – Thursday, January 23 @ 5:00 p.m.

Rocket League – Friday, January 24 @ 5:00 p.m.

 

Sign-ups will close 24 hours prior to tryout start

Tryouts will consist of the following:

• Introductions and getting to know one another
• Breaking off into groups in Discord guided by in game rank and desired role
• Scrimming while our coach(es) walk around and analyze game play (SSBU will be a tournament)

Criteria that will be judged:

• Communication
• Rank
• Teamwork
• Mechanics (aim, movement, positioning, etc.)
• Attitude

Requirements to officially be on the Varsity squad:

• Attend Brookdale with Full-Time Status
• Maintain 2.0 GPA
• Attend all practices and official matches
• * COD: MW3 (4v4) – Must own COD: Modern Warfare 3 on PC (Battle.net or Steam)
• Rocket League will be played on PC

Please fill out the following questionnaire to secure your spot at the tryouts. The form must be completed as all students will be checked-in at the door.

For those interested in shout casting and production, we will also be putting out a sign up form closer to the start of the Fall semester. If you are definitely interested, please use the above info to plan your schedule accordingly.

The NJCAAE also offers competition in more titles. If you would like to compete in a different title at the Tier 3 level.
