Seeing Your Academic Advisor

Students can meet with a Success Coach to discuss academic plans and concerns. Success Coaches are available by appointment by email, phone or in person. Please visit Academic Advising – Brookdale Community College (brookdalecc.edu) to schedule your appointment to meet with a Success Coach. Once on the page, you will want to click on the link for the location that works best for you, allowing you to access our QLess scheduling system, the days/times that are available and book the appointment that works for you. During peak registration timeframes walk-in advising may also be available. Information will be noted on this website.

Students should become familiar with the program requirements and keep track of their progress using the Student Planning tool in Self-Service.  Advisors (also known as Student Success Coaches) guide students in choosing programs and courses that put students on the path to their goals. They assist students in selecting appropriate courses and help prepare them for transfer options.

Students will be prepared to register after consulting with a Success Coach. Typically students can do so online using their Self Service in Student Planning, or can do so in person at our One Stop or a local Higher Education Center during regular business hours. The Registration page provides more information about important timeframes for new and returning students. Students can make an appointment with a Success Coach before registering for any subsequent term to stay on track for graduation and beyond.
