Explanatory Notes:

Mr. Fleckenstein, Mrs. Hannah, Ms. Kondrup, Ms. Ruane and Ms. Ferraro have served on the Board twice.

Drs. Beineman and Lataile and Mr. Zach were Acting County Superintendents of Schools. They were never sworn in and did not attend any Board meetings.

Ms. Mission served as Graduate Trustee for two years (instead of the usual one) when the Graduate Trustee-elect and the runner-up were unable to serve the term.

Mrs. Ruane also served two successive terms as Graduate Trustee. She graduated with a second degree in the year that she served her first term. She went through the standard election procedure and was duly elected for a second term. She was later appointed by the County Freeholders to serve as a voting member of the Board.

The appointments of Messrs. Anfuso and Christie were invalidated when it was ruled that the deliberations of the Trustee Search Committee were in violation of the Open Public Meetings Act. Technically, Messrs. Litwin and Callas served continuously; however, it is necessary to note the appointments of Messrs. Anfuso and Christie since they were sworn in and did attend two meetings.

Ms. Joan Raymond was appointed by the state to a four-year term after having completed one year as a Graduate Trustee. After serving one year as a state-appointed trustee, Joan resigned her state position to accept a four-year county term effective November 14, 2001.
