Jersey Freeze Now Offering A “Jersey Blues” Sundae

Come taste the best, says the sign at Jersey Freeze, Freehold, NJ since 1952.

The owners since 2014 are Katie DiNonno and Matt Cangialosi both graduates of Brookdale Community College. Matt was a Jersey Blues baseball player. After graduating, he became a police officer for 10 years before buying the business with, Katie DiNonno. DiNonno, after obtaining her associate degree from Brookdale went on to Rutgers to get her bachelor’s degree and has worked at Jersey Freeze since she was a teen in high school.

Jersey Freeze has always been the go-to place after ball games, meetings, going to and from the beach, for an ice cream cone or sundae, and now, they have expanded the menu to include lunch and dinner items. They serve all the Jersey favorites at the Freehold location, Pork  Roll, Jersey Cheesesteak, Flat Iron Steak Sandwich, The Jersey Pig, chili dogs, Jersey Giant hamburger, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, Crispy Buffalo Chicken, all on fresh bread brought in daily from Brooklyn.

The Best since 2020, the business recently, opened an ice cream-only shop at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ. A convenient location for Brookdalians to get to from the Lincroft campus! There you can find freshly made ice cream cakes, shakes, ice cream sandwiches packaged to go, Bonbons and more!

Their most popular item in both locations is soft-serve sundaes all day long. This iconic shop is now featuring a Jersey Blues sundae, yes a sundae made especially for Brookdalians and their supporters! Sure to be a crowd favorite, this special sundae is made with house-made soft serve vanilla ice cream, topped with strawberries, Jersey blue sprinkles, white cake crunch, homemade whipped cream, and a cherry on top. 100% fresh and delicious every day!

Jersey Freeze is open all year round for lunch, dinner, and ice cream.
