Brookdale employees and friends, in honor of our late colleague Roger Price Conant, will host a charity event featuring Zumba Fitness® on Saturday, October 13. The fundraiser will help underwrite the Roger Price Conant Memorial Scholarship, available through the Brookdale Foundation.
(Zumba is a popular Latin-inspired dance and fitness workout.)
The event will run from 11 AM to 3 PM in the Brookdale Recreation and Events Center (B-REC) and will consist of Zumba® classes led by some of the Jersey shore’s finest Zumba® instructors; along with other fun fitness-related activities.
Admission is just $10 for students and $20 for general admission and Brookdale staff members. (Reserve your tickets now because prices will go up the day of the event!)

Brookdale is honored to announce the Roger Price Conant Memorial Scholarship, available through the Brookdale Community College Foundation.
Roger, a beloved longtime Brookdale staff member and Director of Brookdale TV, passed away in 2011; his scholarship fund was made possible by the generous donations of Roger’s colleagues, family and friends.
One $500 scholarship will be awarded for the Spring 2013 semester.
Eligibility and Application:
Currently enrolled Brookdale students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
*has completed a minimum of 24 credits
*is a Monmouth County resident
*has earned a GPA of 3.0 or better
*is enrolled in one of the following programs: Media Studies, A.A.; Communications Media A.A.S., or Environmental and Earth Sciences A.S.
*able to demonstrate financial need

FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY Take The Garden State Parkway South. After the Raritan Toll Plaza, the Parkway will divide; stay to the right for access to all exits. Take the Parkway to Exit 109; at the traffic light make a right onto Newman Springs Road (Rt. 520). Follow this road for approximately two miles. Make a left onto Phalanx Road marked with a traffic light. Make the first right onto the Brookdale Community College Campus. Once on campus, make the first left onto Arena Drive. Parking Lot 6 will be on right.
FROM SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY Take the Garden State Parkway North. Get off the Parkway at Exit 109 and make a left at the light onto Newman Springs Road (Rt. 520). Follow this road for approximately two miles. Make a left onto Phalanx Road marked with a traffic light. Make the first right onto the Brookdale Community College Campus. Once on campus, make the first left onto Arena Drive. Parking Lot 6 will be on the right.
FROM WESTERN NEW JERSEY From Hightstown take Route 33 East heading towards Freehold. Exit at “Route 33 East Freehold” and bear right after exit ramp. You are still on Route 33 East. Continue to the major intersection of Routes 33 and 9. Follow signs for 33 East. At first traffic light, make a left onto West Main Street (Route 537). Continue through Freehold and remain on Route 537 to Route 34. Turn left onto Route 34 North. At first traffic light make a right onto Phalanx Road. Remain on this road approximately three miles. The entrance to Brookdale will be on your left, after crossing the reservoir bridge. Once on campus, make the first left onto Arena Drive. Parking Lot 6 will be on the right.
ALTERNATE ROUTE FROM WESTERN NEW JERSEY Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Route 195 East (Exit 7A). Remain on this road until you reach the Garden State Parkway. Take the Garden State Parkway North. Get off the Parkway at Exit 109 and make a left at the light onto Newman Springs Road (Rt. 520). Follow this road for approximately two miles. Make a left onto Phalanx Road marked with a traffic light. Make the first right onto the Brookdale Community College Campus. Once on campus, make the first left onto Arena Drive. Parking Lot 6 will be on the right.
*Additional parking is available in parking lots #7 and #1. Illegally parked cars are subject to fines.
