PraxisPlease note ETS/Praxis new Cell phone policy as of the 9/12/09 test session: Possession of or use of telephones, cell phones, BlackBerry devices, PDAs and other electronic or photographic devices is prohibited in the test center. If a test taken is seen with such a device they will be dismissed from the test, their registration and test fees will be forgeited and their scoress will be cancelled. Test center staff are not allowed to collect or hold devices for test takers. Brookdale's testing staff will follow these guidelines explicitly.The Praxis teacher certification exams are administered at Brookdale Community College several times a year, proctored by our professional testing staff. ParaProThe ParaPro Assessment measures the reading, writing, and math competency of prospective and practicing paraprofessionals. Praxis IPraxis I® Pre-Professional Skills Tests are designed to measure basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. The reading, writing and mathematics assessments are available in two formats: paper- or computer-based. Colleges and universities may use Praxis I® Pre-Professional Skills Tests to evaluate individuals for entry into teacher education programs. Praxis IIPraxis II® Subject Assessments measure knowledge of specific subjects that K-12 educators will teach, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge.
