Registering for Classes

Priority Registration   Currently registered students, after the initial semester of study, will receive priority registration passes in the mail. The initial days of each registration period are reserved for these returning students, to ensure their access to the courses they require to complete their degree programs. On your priority pass is a time and a date: you may register at that time and date or thereafter. Students are urged to take advantage of priority passes since courses fill up quickly and lines become lengthy later in the registration period. (Provisional students will not receive a priority registration pass.)

Open Registration   All other students may register on or after the first day of open registration listed in the current term's Master Schedule. Students with credits from other institutions, or who have relevant field experience, may be required to provide transcripts or meet with Brookdale faculty to determine eligibility to take particular courses.

How To Register

Registration cannot take place until the student`s application has been processed. Students with credits from other institutions or who have relevant field experience may be required to provide transcripts, or meet with Brookdale faculty to determine eligibility for particular courses.

Degree students must have their course schedule approved by their academic counselor before they can register for classes.

Students not registering online must register in person in the Center for Counseling, Admissions & Registration (use parking lot 5).

Returning students may be eligible to register online through Webadvisor.

In order to register online, you must have attended Brookdale  for at least one semester since the Spring 2001 term and meet at least one of the following criteria:

-Brookdale student with 24 or more degree credits in good academic standing
-Brookdale graduate
-Brookdale student with a Bachelor`s or Master`s degree from an accredited college
-Brookdale student with less than 24 degree credits in good academic standing, with Student Development Specialist (Counselor) approval.

Payment

Students registering for Fall and Spring terms may elect to pay in full, or may use the tuition installment plan.

For the Summer Terms, students must pay in full, by cash, check or money order, or charge on Mastercard, Discover Card or Visa, upon registration.

Students must pay all financial obligations. Failure to meet all financial obligations results in the withholding of grades and transcripts and ineligibility to register for subsequent terms. Students must also comply with all state and federal regulations. Failure to comply could result in dismissal from classes. Classes may be cancelled at the discretion of the Executive Vice President for Educational Student and Outreach Services.
