In some study areas, Brookdale offers certificate programs. These contain fewer credits that the degree programs, and certify students as competent in a particular employment area.

In the Brookdale catalog, certificates are listed after the degree programs or options to which they refer. The credits earned in these certificates are applicable to the related degree programs. Certificates vary in the number of credits required to credentialize proficiency.
