Alpha Pi Theta (The Brookdale Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa)
Phi Theta Kappa is a national honor society/service organization that recognizes achievement among two-year college students. A student is invited to join if his/her cumulative GPA is 3.7 or above and he or she has 12 credit hours completed, and is matriculated into a major. Alpha Pi Theta, the Brookdale PTK chapter is not only concerned with academic achievement, but encourages the four Phi Theta Kappa hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship through club-sponsored activities and programs including, regional/national workshops and conferences. Collage
Students compile original poetry, prose, photography, graphics, drawings, and computer images for publication in Collage Brookdale's Student Magazine of the Arts. Students gain valuable skills in editing, book design, and desktop publishing during the production of Collage, which is published at the end of the Spring Term and distributed free to students. Senior Adults Growing Educationally (S.A.G.E.)

Speech Alliance
Dedicated to full participation in intercollegiate forensics, the club helps students take full advantage of opportunities in forensic competition to acquire, improve and sharpen basic human communication skills. There are frequent intercollegiate tournaments in the U.S. (and abroad when funds are available) for students competing in any or all three areas of forensics including debate, public speaking and oral interpretation of literature. Orientation, coaching, rehearsal, performances and post-performance evaluations take place on and off campus during the academic year.
