A BIG Grant Program
The purpose of Brookdale Innovation Grants is to encourage creative thinking and innovation, to enhance educational programs, and improve services to students. The BIG program combines two long-standing grant opportunities offered annually to full-time faculty, staff, and administrators: Technology Mini Grants and Educational Excellence Grants.
The new grant program is sponsored by the Brookdale Community College Foundation, the College’s General Fund, and the Professional Development Standing Committee of Governance. Approximately 8-12 grants ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 will be awarded from the $13,000 funding available this year.
Full-time faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to submit proposals which demonstrate both innovation and a clear benefit to the college. Projects must be designed to address the college’s current strategic priorities, such as increasing access and enrollment, improving student success, integrating technology into the classroom, and collaborating with schools, businesses and the community.
